In 2022, AAHA conducted a Phase IA archaeological assessment of the Silent City Cemetery in Cambridge, Maryland. Background research corroborates previously conducted research that the cemetery was used by local Black residents between the 1930s and 1950s. A pedestrian reconnaissance of the cemetery identified 61 surface features that likely correspond with burials.
