Between November and December of 2017, AAHA conducted a Phase III data recovery of the Oliver’s Crossing Site in Charles County, Maryland. Phase II investigations of the Site conducted by AAHA in 2014 and 2015 revealed a probable structural feature within the site that was recommended for additional research. The Phase III investigation, consisting of additional background research and excavation, revealed that the site likely represents a plantation or farmhouse that was occupied between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
